Hannah is a Senior Solicitor in the Resource Management Team.

Having grown up on a farm on the West Coast, she has a natural affinity for the environment and rural communities. This background gives her a grounded, practical perspective on resource management issues and the regulatory challenges facing the primary sector. She is particularly interested in helping farmers make sense of an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape.

Hannah advises on all aspects of Resource Management Law, including:

  • Plan changes: experience with district and regional plan changes and submissions, including rezonings and policy development.
  • Resource consents: assisting with legal issues associated with resource consent applications, managing related appeals.
  • Environment Court matters: experience with Environment Court processes, mediations and hearings.
  • Disputes: Assisting with land use disputes, including neighbour issues and council-related matters.
  • Compliance and regulatory advice: Guiding clients through frequent amendments to environmental law and compliance obligations.

Hannah is a member of the Resource Management Law Association and is Secretary on the Otago Women’s Law Society (OWLS) Committee. She also volunteers her time providing mentoring support to children through Presbyterian Support’s Buddy Programme.
